Seasalt began in 1981 on a wet August day. The Chadwick family, our founders, went into a little shop in a coastal town in Cornwall called General Clothing Stores…they only went in to buy some waterproof coats, but ended up buying the shop as well! The shop sold traditional workwear, like fishermen’s smocks, pullovers and stripe tops, and within a few months they had moved to Cornwall!

Retail Careers in the USA

Our retail teams bring Seasalt to life for our customers, helping them find clothes they feel their most confident in season after season. As part of our exciting plans for the future, we have lots of retail career opportunities!

Store Managers
We want Seasalt customers to feel welcome as soon as they step through our door. A key part of this role is creating a positive atmosphere and inspiring others to deliver excellent service. Our managers lead the way with exceptional retail skills, product knowledge and commercial know-how.

Assistant Store Managers
Our Assistant Store Managers are part of the management team helping to build a successful business. They take the reins and deputise any store manager duties and encourage the team to deliver the high standards our customers expect. This role is a great stepping stone in your retail career, with many of our Assistant Managers going on to be Store Managers.

Supervisors
Our Supervisors take care of the shop and team members in the absence of the management team. They deliver exceptional customer service, ensure the shop looks it’s best at all times and support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop.

Sales Associates
Like all our retail staff, our Sales Associates are ambassadors for Seasalt, embodying our values by putting our customers at the heart of everything they do. They are an essential part of the team, supporting store management and creating a memorable shopping experience for every customer.
